The Beginning
Travel with André was born in 2011 after a lot of soul searching and contemplation. Andre’s passion for his country and its history, and the untamed beauty of Africa led to the birth of this travel company. As he says himself: ‘I was looking for that something special to do with my life, that would allow me to express myself and share my passions with other people. Travel with Andre is it. This doesn’t even feel like work!’
Towards our clients
On starting his business, André promised himself that he would quit the moment he stopped enjoying what he does. This passion shines through in his attitude and sense of responsibility towards his clients. Families and groups from abroad trust André with their dreams of a perfect vacation, and he is there to help make those dreams into perfect memories.
The Team
Travel with André provides a small team of select individuals, who are happy to share their enthusiasm and knowledge. André started out as a one-man operation, but with hard work and patience he has been able to surround himself with like-minded individuals and grow the business organically. The company may have grown, but the individual attention to detail remains the same.

Alexander Rehder
Guide - Afrikaans, English and German
All of our guides have a passion for travel and for this country, a passion that is evident in everything that they do. Alex has been lucky enough to travel in Europe, Africa and Mauritius, and is fluent in Afrikaans, English and German. A true world traveller and an invaluable addition to the team, he brings with him a love of hiking, reading and writing (we’re waiting for that first novel to hit the shelves) and a long and varied academic and work history.
Matthew Kruger
Guide - English and French
Matthew is one of our excellent team of guides. Matthew has a dual French and South African upbringing and brings a cosmopolitan touch to the team. He has deep historical roots in South Africa, and his ancestors include a few famous Krugers. Matthew loves wine, music and good food, but is lucky enough to burn off the extra calories with some trail running. He is passionate about the history of this country and as passionate about sharing it with his clients.
